Great job man! I really love how disturbing you make your characters look. Aang especially looks incredible in this. The voice acting is also really good.

There are a couple things that stuck out to me though, one of which was the initial composition on Zuko. There's a bit too much negative space behind him. When a character is looking in a particular direction, it's always better to give them room in the direction they're looking.

A line that didn't really make sense to me was, "I just wanna take you in so I can play my PS2 and wear my favorite pair of shoes." It just didn't make sense or add to the story in any way. How are those relevant to his character, in that moment?

I'd also like to see a little more variation in poses, like I get you wanna get these out quickly but all the characters stay in the same pose for almost the entire cartoon, and it disengages the viewer when you do that. You wouldn't even necessarily have to move them a bunch, you could just try mixing up the camera angles (not counting zooms) to tell a better story visually. You do that at 1:09 with an OTS shot, that's about it for their initial conversation.

That said, still a great job. Love the burnt hotdog line. Keep on keeping on, it's fantastic to see good, original parodies on this site again.

I appreciate this constructive criticism. A lot of time went into it and I appreciate that. I agree that the animation is stuff, in partial that’s because that’s just how I like it. I think it’s visually funny and fits the action of the characters dialogue being given, but to be fair I could try and play around with some more poses and liven scenarios up.

Thank you

Amazing work, you're continuing to challenge yourself and it shows! Your ability to capture atmospheres through characters and environments really sets you apart. Can't wait to see your next toon.

Aaron-Long responds:

Thanks a lot! I did want to get more atmosphere into this one, in a few ways. Glad you liked it!

The animation and backgrounds were all really great. I really liked the visuals and sound effects you threw in, they really tied the whole cartoon together. Tails running up to sonic was seriously the funniest shit. The voice acting was decent too.
I will say though I don't think the memey stuff wasn't good for this (WHAT ARE THOOOOSE, sanic, rustling jimmies). I thought it really took away from the quality of the whole animation. Seriously, "what are those" joke came out of nowhere and I feel like you could've done more with the Shadow bit. Plus, canned sound effects (such as that door opening sound effect at 1:24) should be avoided. I know it's tempting to use existing stuff like that, but you might want to look deeper for sound effects which are less well known already. It can ruin the immersion viewers have to hear stuff like that.
As for the ending, i think it would've been a lot better if you just cut it after tails said "too slow" to end with more of a shock value, rather than do the whole seinfeld thing, which I'm pretty sure everybody watching has seen parodies of already.
All in all, I liked this cartoon and hope to see more from you. You draw very well, and I like your style. Keep it up.

Narmak responds:

Thank you for such detailed feedback! To be honest, this animation was originally supposed to be a quick 1 minute thing for fun, but I always get way too into animating and then its becomes 4 minutes long :\
But yes, this was the only animation of mine that I did not storyboard before I created it, I kinda just went along with whatever. Also, is the door sound effect well known? I found it online and didn't recognize it as a common sound effect.

The drawings, voice acting, and jokes were on point! I really enjoyed this cartoon.

mattyburrito responds:

thanks so much man :) I'm glad you liked it!

It was pretty cool to begin with, and then you broke the fourth wall which was really inventive! Your animation shows a lot of promise! The jokes were pretty good too. All I can suggest is for you to keep at it and practice drawing, and maybe record better sounding audio next time. Otherwise, this was great. Keep it up dude ;)

HMFD responds:

Thank you for the feedback, as we often say, our audio is our main issue but we are trying to fix this and make it sound a lot better. Hopefully future episodes will show this :)

This was pretty funny man! I'd suggest coloring a bit and making a better background. Other than that the animation was nice. You show promise! If you ever need a voice actor let me know.

VortexVisionz responds:

Like I said, I created this short bit a couple of years ago and I didnt have an animation tablet at the time lol. As for the voice acting check your messages on your youtube channel

Can't say I'm a fan of the art style but the animation was awesome!

Intrapulation responds:

I found this style easier to work with, rather than the traditional.
